Triathlon Checklist

The following is a more-or-less complete list of trithlon things I take when I travel to a triathlon. I don't take all of these things to every triathlon, but at least I have a list to start with.

General packing items:

Items to start triathlon:

  • Albuterol

  • Antifog drops/spay for goggles

  • Band-aids, waterproof, for nipples

  • Body Glide

  • Goggles

  • Heart rate monitor watch and strap

  • Jersey, tri

  • Sandals, sports

  • Shorts, tri

  • Swim cap

  • Wet suit

 

Items in bag at T1/T2:

 

For transition area setup:

T1:

  • Bike

  • Energy bars

  • Energy gels

  • Gatorade

  • Gloves, biking

  • Helmet, biking

  • Ibuprofen

  • Jacket, rain (if rain in forecast)

  • Jersey, biking, long-sleeved (if cool weather)

  • Leg warmers (if cool weather)

  • Plastic bag for wet suit

  • Race belt with race (bib) number

  • Shoes, biking

  • Sox, rolled up so they go on easy

  • Sunglasses (or clear glasses if overcast)

  • Sunscreen

  • Towell, large, for display

  • Towell, small, to dry feet

  • Water bottle (to wash off feet)

 

 

T2:

  • Cap, running

  • Energy gels

  • Ibuprofen

  • Shoes, running

  • Sunscreen

  • Towell

  • Water/Gatorade bottle
